ECONOMY Flat Panel loudspeakers cover a very broad area over a wide frequency range. You might compare the coverage area of a cone speaker to that of a spotlight, and the coverage area of a Flat Panel speaker to that of a floodlight. It take fewer floodlights than spotlights to light a room. It takes fewer SOUND ADVANCE SOUND ADVANCE Flat Panel loudspeakers than conventional cone speakers to fill a room. This saves on material, and labor. A distributed audio system designed using SOUND ADVANCE speakers will cost less than a system of identical coverage and uniformity designed using conventional cone loudspeakers. AESTHETICS Flat Panel loudspeakers offer aesthetic solutions unavailable with any other type of speaker. The expanded polystyrene diaphragm can be molded into different sizes and shapes. It's front surface is flat, and may be painted with water based paints, making it blend into it's surroundings. We even offer a series of 2'x2' SpeakerTiles which have the patterns of various ceiling tiles painted on them, so they totally disappear into a drop-tile ceiling. Various materials including wallpaper and plastic films may be glued to the front surface of the speaker. SOUND ADVANCE SOUND ADVANCE has 2 series of Flat Panel speakers which can be mounted into a drywall ceiling or wall, then painted, textured, or wallpapered to match it's surroundings. There are no visible holes or unsightly grilles - the speaker is totally invisible! | ![]() ![]() |
